Home Modification Program Funding
Older Adults Home Modification Program (OAHMP)
The East Central Intergovernmental Association (ECIA) received $1,000,000 in Older Adults Home Modification grant program funding and will complete safety and functional home modifications and limited repairs in 100 units* to meet the needs of low-income elderly homeowners.
The funding will enable Dubuque, Delaware, Cedar, Clinton and Jackson low-income older adults to stay living in their homes, thus ”aging in place” rather than moving into an assisted living facility. The program provides low-cost, high-impact modifications to the home to help reduce the risk of falling, such as installation of hand railings or non-slip strips on stairs or in showers/tubs.
For more information, please contact ECIA at 563-556-4166 or firstname.lastname@example.org..
Lead Paint Remediation
If you think you may have lead paint on the interior or exterior of your home, contact ECIA-Lead Paint & Healthy Homes Program for more information on potential monies available to remediate this issue at (563)556-4166
